Coach With Me.
You were a brilliant leader.
Board-level decisions. Multi-million-pound budgets. Teams who looked to you for clarity and direction. The person people came to when the stakes were highest.
Then burnout arrived.
Years of showing up, delivering, masking and performing came at a cost. Now, you don't know who you are without the work that once defined you.
You may still be in post. You may be on sick leave. You may have already left and be asking, what now?
But you've lost the thread.
The clarity that used to come easily doesn't arrive anymore. Decisions that used to feel instinctive now feel impossible. And the version of yourself you used to trust has gone somewhere you can't reach.
You've tried executive coaching. It assumed you had capacity you no longer have. It focused on goals and performance when you're struggling to think straight. It treated burnout like stress, not the identity crisis it actually is.
You've tried therapy. It helped you understand what happened. It didn't help you lead again.
You've tried rest, boundaries, mindfulness, all the things you're supposed to try. And none of them have given you back the leader you used to be.
Because burnout doesn't just remove your energy.
It removes your sense of self.
And without that, nothing else works.
Why Conventional Executive Coaching Isn't Enough.
Executive coaching assumes the client is ready for strategy.
Burnout removes the conditions that assumption depends on: capacity, cognition and sense of self.
When you're at burnout, goal-setting reinforces the performance pressure that contributed to it. Strengths-based work feels invalidating when you can't access your strengths. Action-focused conversations create another to-do list for someone already beyond capacity.
The problem isn't the coach. It's the framework.
Standard executive coaching isn't designed for what burnout does to the brain, the body and the leader's identity.
It focuses on where you're going.
Burnout requires us to begin with where you actually are.
That's why this work is different.
What Makes This Work Different
I've spent over 11,000 hours coaching people experiencing or approaching burnout. I've worked with more than 700 leaders across 15 countries. I've trained over 150 coaches to coach burnout as a discipline, not as a stress-management problem.
Before this, I reached board-level HR Director by 30. I managed multi-million-pound budgets in global organisations. I saved £44 million on one project and £10 million a year for the next five years on another.
I understand leadership, pressure and organisational complexity because I've lived them.
I've also nearly died from burnout. Twice.
The first time came after seven months of chronic pain and two surgeries in 48 hours.
I kept passing out. Once on a train. Once from the top of an escalator at Liverpool Street station. I landed at the bottom, got back on the Tube and went to my meeting.
I didn't take one day off.
The second time, I couldn't leave the sofa for six months.
I was still working.
I almost didn't survive by Christmas.
Both times, I was being coached by skilled, ethical, qualified coaches. They weren't negligent. Their training just wasn't designed for what burnout does to someone.
So I built the training that was missing.
A way of understanding how burnout develops and presents simultaneously across the whole person and the environment in which they are trying to survive.
I'm completing a PhD on the long-term cognitive impact of burnout. I've invested over £250,000 in understanding why standard models weren't working. And I've spent the last six years teaching coaches how to work when burnout has altered their clients' capacity, cognition, identity and leadership.
Two of my private coaching clients have since trained as Master Burnout Coaches because working with me transformed the way they understood coaching.
I'm not a wellbeing coach.
I'm not a therapeutic coach.
The breathing and regulation are part of the work, but they aren't the product. They help create the conditions for something deeper: recovering access to your capacity, your identity and your leadership without forcing you back into the person and patterns that burned out.
How the Work Is Structured
This is private one-to-one coaching.
No screens. Voice only.
One 2.5-hour session each month for a minimum of three months.
The format is methodologically deliberate.
Burnout alters cognition. It takes time for the brain to settle, for the performance to fall away and for the real conversation to surface.
This isn't a one-hour appointment crammed into an already busy day. It is space deliberately created for work that cannot be rushed.
The pathway is the 4 S's:
State
We begin with where you actually are. Not where you think you should be. Not where you were six months ago. Where you are now.
Safety
We create the conditions that allow change to become possible.
This isn't about making everything comfortable. It is about building enough psychological and physiological safety for you to stop operating as though everything is a threat.
Self
We recover the identity burnout stole.
Not so you can return to who you were. You can't.
But you grieve who you were. You crave the clarity, the certainty, the version of yourself you could trust.
This is about recovering what is yours beneath the roles, the expectations, the masking and the performance. And discovering who you are now that you no longer have to abandon yourself to keep going.
Strategy
Only then do we engage strategy.
Because strategy without self is just another performance.
And you've been performing for long enough.
The work is held across months, not weeks, because identity recovery doesn't happen on a six-week timeline.
The minimum commitment is three months. Many clients choose to stay for six to nine.
What becomes possible.
Personally
You're no longer painting your face on, wearing the brightest clothes and showing the outside world that you're fine while privately knowing you're not.
The gap between how you look and how you feel begins to close.
You understand what happened to you, why it happened and what you need now. You regain access to your energy, confidence and sense of self.
Not the person you were before burnout.
The person you are when you no longer have to abandon yourself to keep performing.
Professionally
You regain access to the clarity, discernment and authority that burnout made inaccessible.
You can make decisions without fighting through fog. You can hold complexity without it consuming you. You can lead without relying on the patterns that once made you successful at such a personal cost.
If you return to your role, you return differently.
If you leave, you make that decision from clarity rather than collapse.
And if you're already out, you begin answering what comes next without assuming the only options are to recreate your old life or walk away from everything you built.
Systemically
You stop recreating the conditions that contributed to the burnout in the first place.
You understand your Burnout Equation.
You can recognise what increases toxicity in your environment, what erodes your sense of self and what you have previously accepted as the unavoidable price of ambition.
You begin making different decisions about your work, your leadership and your life.
Not by shrinking your ambition, standards or impact.
By no longer sacrificing yourself to sustain them.
